The Cisco Champion Program is a group of people who are passionate about Cisco and enjoy sharing their knowledge, expertise, and thoughts across the social web and with Cisco. We are honored to be 1 of just over 250 Cisco Champions for 2018.
Cisco Champions are regarded as experts in Cisco products and technologies by their peers and actively share in technical forums, communities, user groups, social media and speaking engagements across the social web, IRL and with Cisco. The program has been running for more than 4 years and each year open nominations are held to find and select the best candidates from around the world.
Cisco Champions is an award-winning program that connects a passionate group of technology enthusiasts with Cisco subject matter experts. Participants gain access to a global network of Champions and interact directly with Cisco through technical briefings, podcasts, blogs, and in-person events.
Over the past 3 years, we have been serving our budding IT community with Cisco certification courses and connecting our students with great IT Pros around the Southern US. We will now be able to expand our connection with Cisco Experts across the globe and increase our knowledge of Cisco technologies.
What does this mean for our students?
Better connected instructors means more knowledge and networking opportunities, with humans and tech of course!
We use NetAcad, the official Cisco courseware, for all of our Cisco certification prep courses. This prepares you for the exams needed to earn the certifications, which lead to being competitive in the job market. HOWEVER - Real Life Knowledge, Workplace application and know-how is just as important as exam topics. Getting to know those who are in hands-on positions with the tech we learn about in the classroom will allow for a better understanding of what your future career holds.
What does this mean for our instructors?
We will have exclusive access to Cisco info and be able to communicate directly with experts across the globe. Having access to these individuals will allow us to gain a better real world, in practice, knowledge of how these technologies are being utilized in the workplace.
We also love meeting new people. The more people we know, the better it is for students near and far!
